About Neonatology at Smita Memorial Hospital

The Neonatology Department at Smita Memorial Hospital provides specialist care for newborns who are unwell, premature or born with congenital conditions. Experienced neonatologists, supported by a highly trained team and advanced facilities, give every infant expert, compassionate and individual care.

The 7-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit manages a wide range of newborn conditions. The team also works to detect disease before birth, helping families prepare when a baby is likely to need specialised care, and joins obstetricians during high-risk deliveries.
