How cashless works
- Fill the pre-authorisation form at the TPA desk (patient, policy, next-of-kin and email details)
- Your admitting doctor completes the medical history and line of treatment
- The TPA team adds the class of admission and estimate, and submits to your insurer
- For planned admissions take approval before admission (up to 7 days early); for emergencies complete within 24 hours
- Final authorisation is received at discharge and deposits are refunded within 48 working hours

- PAN card and Aadhaar of the patient and proposer
- Positive investigation reports
- Treating doctor’s consultation paper
- Discharge card of previous hospitalisation (chemotherapy, PTCA, CABG, DJ stent removal, transfer)
- MLC / FIR copy for medico-legal cases
- Grade of surgery and estimate of OT materials and pharmacy (from the admitting doctor)

Is Medisep accepted?

How early should I apply for cashless approval?
For a planned admission, cashless approval must be taken before admission — up to 7 days in advance.
What is the deposit for an emergency admission with insurance?
For an emergency ICU or accident admission, the patient is admitted on showing the TPA ID card and paying ₹10,000, and the cashless process is completed within 24 hours.
What documents are needed for pre-authorisation?
Insurance/TPA ID card or policy copy; PAN and Aadhaar of the patient and proposer; positive investigation reports; the treating doctor’s consultation paper; discharge card of any previous hospitalisation; MLC/FIR copy if applicable; surgery grade and estimate; the cashless consent form; and NEFT details.
What is the security deposit?
A security deposit of ₹10,000 or 10% of the treatment estimate is collected at admission and refunded after final authorisation at discharge, less any short payments.
