Dr. Chandrika Poonamallee Neelakandan

Dr. Chandrika Poonamallee Neelakandan is a skilled specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology with a strong academic and clinical background. She completed her MBBS at Government Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, and went on to earn her MS in Obstetrics & Gynecology from ESI PGIMSR, Chennai. To further enhance her expertise in infertility management, she pursued a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine (FNB) at Craft Hospital and Research Centre, Kerala. Over the years, Dr. Chandrika has gained international and national exposure, having served as a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Sulaimaan Al Habib Hospital, Riyadh, and later contributing significantly at Craft Hospital, Kochi, before taking on her current role as Consultant in Reproductive Medicine at Bliss Fertility Centre, Kottayam. She has honed her skills in advanced assisted reproductive techniques including ovum pick-up, embryo transfer, intrauterine insemination (IUI), testicular sperm aspiration (TESA), and percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration (PESA). She is also proficient in pelvic ultrasonography and early obstetric scans. Her special interests lie in recurrent pregnancy loss, azoospermia, endometriosis-related infertility, and overall women’s health. Apart from her clinical practice, Dr. Chandrika is an active academic contributor and has presented research papers, posters, and lectures at prestigious conferences. She is also a motivational speaker on women’s and adolescent health, inspiring both patients and students alike.
