Dr. Bony George is an expert Medical Gastroenterologist with more than 15 years of experience in the field of gastroenterology. He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Kannur (Periyaram) and pursued MD in Internal Medicine at BJ Government Medical College, Pune, Maharashtra. Following this, he obtained his DM in Medical Gastroenterology from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, and successfully cleared the DrNB in Medical Gastroenterology from the National Board of Examinations. He also completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy, further strengthening his expertise in advanced procedures.
Dr. Bony began his career as a Resident Doctor (Internal Medicine) at BJ Government Medical College, Pune, and later worked as a Senior Medical Officer and Assistant Professor at BYL Nair Hospital and Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai (2017–2018). He subsequently joined as a DM Resident in Medical Gastroenterology at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, gaining extensive exposure to complex gastroenterological disorders and advanced endoscopic techniques.
Before joining Smita Hospital, Dr. Bony served as a Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist at Chazhikattu Multi Super Speciality Hospital, where he was actively involved in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. His clinical expertise includes therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy, management of gastrointestinal bleeding, liver diseases, pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and other complex digestive disorders.
With his extensive training, academic background, and years of clinical practice, Dr. Bony George brings a wealth of knowledge and compassionate care to his patients, ensuring the highest standards of gastroenterological treatment.
