Dr. Anju Joy

Dr. Anju Joy is a dynamic and accomplished Transfusion Medicine specialist with advanced training from JIPMER, Puducherry—an Institute of National Importance. She holds an MD in Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion and a PDCC in Apheresis from JIPMER, reflecting her strong academic foundation and clinical excellence.

With over 4 years of focused experience, Dr. Anju has worked extensively in blood banking, advanced immunohematology, therapeutic apheresis, component therapy, and stem cell harvesting. She has also served as an Assistant Professor at ESIC MC PGIMSR, Bangalore, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Transfusion Medicine and initiating the MD IHBT postgraduate program. Her expertise extends to curriculum development, PG teaching, NMC documentation, and NABH readiness, contributing to the institution achieving Level 1 NABH certification.

Dr. Anju completed her MBBS at Government Medical College, Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu), followed by specialized postgraduate training at JIPMER. She has demonstrated leadership in transfusion safety, donor management, quality control, transfusion auditing, and therapeutic modalities including autologous transfusion, intra-operative red cell salvage, and therapeutic apheresis.

She remains committed to excellence in patient care, transfusion support for hematology oncology and transplant services, and fostering multidisciplinary clinical collaboration.
